The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed regarding the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The service position developed for intervention ordeals a higher inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise access to Social Assistance providers,” SRD the agency said.
